It was the launch of Wellness Week (PAHO - WHO), an initiative that seeks to promote how cities can help prevent non-communicable diseases such as cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, cardiovascular, pulmonary and diabetes, by creating environments that supports healthy eating, physical activity, preventing the use of snuff and harmful use of alcohol. The Physical Activity Network of Argentina with several of its institutions and two Executive Committee members (Argentina and Peru) were present at its launch in a healthy breakfast, held in Palermo Buenos Aires. It highlights the important role and variety of ministries and personalities related to the topic with the PAHO representative in Argentina. The Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) with the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Harlem, the Academy of Medicine in New York City College of New York, World Economic Forum will lead the launch in Harlem New York City. There will be interactive tables on healthy lifestyles, fair with agricultural products, healthy food choices made by local restaurants and a gym session with Terri Kennedy, an expert in physical training. Secretaries of Health were also heard the messages of other cities that participated in this celebration.
